Eau Thermale Avene Skincare Products
Avene skin care products' main component and regimen is no secret and quite simple: H2O, or thermal spring water. This special healing water has traveled 40 years through the Cevennes Mountains of France, collecting mineral compositions and enriched trace elements and silicates before it reaches the natural springs whose therapeutic properties have been proven to heal a full range of dermatological issues.
History
Discovered in the mid-1700s, the natural springs of Avene became well known for their healing properties and in 1826 scientists started recommending the natural springs in Avene. One famous Doctor, in particular, was Jean-Louis Alibert who became the dermatologist to two kings of France. In 1871, the water was bottled and sent to America to help the victims of the Great Fire of Chicago, but it wasn’t until 1989 that the first Avene Thermal Spring Water products were produced commercially.
